You probably wondered why I haven’t posted about World of Warcraft in a while. The simple truth is that my motivation has been steadily declining with the lack of updates and content. Just do the math, from November ’11 to Sept’12 that is 10 months and fees without new content …
I know people are always doubting if my business model in wow really works. What I am doing it to keep stuff at a high price at the auction house and never undercut anyone. In fact my prices are often 5-8 times higher than normal and people often write me nice mails that I am crazy … but what can I say … it works!
Soloing the Plaguewing in Naxxramas (level 80 raid instance) was another idea by one of my readers. Actually I thought Anub’Arak would have been the easier kill, but he appeared pretty tough and I kind of stopped trying Naxx at all witht eh experience at hand. But it turned out to be quite easy.
Kapténx commented on the Enhancement Soloable Bosses Post that Sapphironw as missing on the list and indeed, I hadn’t even tried him, forgot about being able to port up to him before killing any other boss now. I gave it a try today!
My fans (rawr yeah!) on YouTube got the request to fraps more soloing and I thought this would be an interesting Boss to show. The issue with Void Reaver, the 3rd Boss in Tempest Keep The Eye, is that he fires big balls of electrity that do a large radius AoE silence. While being in a 25 man raid it won’t matter that much, however soloing you will be targeted each and every time ending up more or less chain silenced.
Blizzard announced a few days ago that they wanted to decrease the amount of gold that certain raid bosses would drop. This made me head to PTR and check out how bad the situation has become. Unfortunately Doomwalker/Kazzak weren’t up, but I was able to kill Magtheridon. Since he drops the same amount of Gold as Kazzak/Doomwalker on live realms you can conclude that their gold is in the same range.
Since the achievement system went live I reached 2 million gold acquired, 4666/day since the last summary in october.
Sartharion seems like a doable fight, so I went to the Obsidian Sanctum and tried my luck. The thrash was not easy to clear, but I was able to clear it all inclusive Tenebron and Vesperon. Sadly the third Miniboss Shadron forces you to go into the Twilight Realm and if you try that solo he will despawn instantly. I had to bring a friend, Zlínka, to kill the guardian inside the Twilight Realm. With his lieutenants defeated it was time to head for Sartharion. Wildly swinging axes, trusty wolves at my side and with heroism I rushed towards the Onyx Guardian.
